How do I claim land?

Do /claimhelp in Minecraft or Discord for a brief rundown. Essentially, claiming can either be done with /claim or by using the claim tools you get from doing /kit claim. Once you have claimed land you can do many different commands to modify it including /claimflag or /claiminfo. There are many claim commands and descriptions of all of them are in /help.

Why doesn’t the server have this command/feature?

Some features you may find on other servers, but are not on this server are /back, /tpr, and custom items. We are mostly Vanilla and most of the features on the server are in the spirit of vanilla. We do take suggestions and you can make a suggestion in the suggestions-problems channel of the discord.

What server software is the server on and why?

The server runs on paper and we have no intention of moving server software. Paper is stable and supports the most amount of playstyles and features. We do not have Bedrock support due to the issues with it and staff’s unfamiliarity with it.

How do I contact staff/appeal punishments?

Please make a ticket to contact staff in the tickets channel in the discord. Open a player report ticket to report actions you think are against the rules or a moderation dispute ticket to dispute punishments. For any glitches or other issues on the server please make a post in the suggestions-problems discord and for other inquiries please contact go_ing on discord.

What mods are and aren’t allowed?

Mods are allowed on Reunion as long as they don’t give a huge advantage. As for what kind of mods are allowed they include performance, quality of life, map, building, recording, and aesthetic mods. The mods that aren’t allowed include hacked clients, baritone, and other cheats. Autoclickers are allowed for use in farms and macros are allowed as well for the same reason.

What plugins are on the server?

We don’t have a public list of plugins due to multiple reasons including security, however, when appropriate staff may discuss certain plugins with the community. /help explains all the commands on the server which explains most of the features.

What does Reunion SMP have to do with Union SMP?

Reunion SMP is unaffiliated with the staff of the former Union SMP and Salc1. This server formed when Union SMP was shut down by its owner for personal reasons. This was right before the anticipated server update to 1.20 which motivated the creation of this server by its players.

Who has the Dragon Egg?

A player who played at the start of the server got the original dragon egg and still has it although they no longer play. A second dragon egg was given as a prize for the Easter Egg hunt event and it is currently displayed at spawn with no more dragon eggs planned. If you get the "Free The End" advancement you will automatically get the "Next Generation" advancement.

What Vanilla Tweaks are on the server?

Armor Statues, Armored Elytra, Cauldron Concrete, Custom Nether Portals, Durability Ping, Fast Leaf Decay, More Mob Heads, Persistent Heads, Rotation Wrenches, Silence Mobs, Spawning Spheres, and Unlock All Recipes. We also have a separate Datapack that allows for empty shulkers to stack.

What happened to Union SMP?

Union SMP was deleted on June 29th 2023 due to personal reasons affecting the server owner. More info about why the server was deleted can be found at the link Here. The link to the latest backup we have can be found Here.

What are the minor dupes which are allowed?

Minor dupes, such as gravity blocks (minus the dragon egg!), carpet, rail, redstone and string are allowed. Any other type of duping is not allowed. (being a mod does not give you dupe privileges)

What is considered griefing?

Harming the functionality or look of a build is considered griefing. Same for killing/stealing mobs inside of claims. Damaging wilderness, stealing items from unclaimed chests, and stealing valuable blocks is not.

What is the wilderness?

Wilderness is any area that is not claimed. Although griefing rules still apply to any griefing happening near claims as well as to unclaimed builds.

Will my claim(s) be removed?

Claims can only be removed by their owner or admins and do not expire. Annoying claims are those that are typically small and get in the way of other people's claims. An example is putting a claim next to someone's build in order to put up a giant sign with your name on it. Claims also may be removed if the owner has not logged in over 30 days, however, that is based on admin discretion and some claims may not be removed even after 30 days of owner inactivity if they are impressive bases, large builds, or complex farms. Players who are trusted in a claim will be given priority to receive one of these claims.
